J.A.M.S. is a middle school (grades 6-8) in the BIG COUNTY down in the corner of California. There are about 1,000 children attending school here. There are 50 teachers and 30 classified staff members.J.A.M.S. is finished with Prop. O Technology and Safety modifications. While a great deal of the construction went well I want to point out the library roof STILL LEAKS, the electrical receptacles pop out of their surface-run conduit, and the window locks SUCK!
J.A.M.S. does not have lockers. Students must carry all their materials with them in gigantic backpacks. This is, of course, patently unfair, but hey! My kids had to carry their backpacks at La Mesa Middle School...
