Welcome to our library!

The J.A.M.S. Library is your research center. We have many books that you can check out. We have Non-Fiction, Fiction, Paperback and Story Collection. We have a Reference section--those are books that must stay in the library. We have several sets of Encyclopedias, some of which may be checked out overnight.
Please take care all books. Make sure your hands are clean before using them. Do not eat while using the books. Please remove dead bugs and Post-It Notes from books. Please do not leave dead fetal pigs in the books. Please do not leave used tampons on the shelves. If your Aunt Flo is visting and you have a little "accident" on a chair, please report it so we can disinfect the chair. Do not be embaressed, I have been present during childbirth and have seen it all!

Due to the many changes in education, the library has decided to implement a "modified" Dewey Decimal system. This should make the book locating process a lot simpler. Check out the chart below:

DEWEY NUMBER TOPIC NEW CLASSIFICATION NUMBER
000's Generalities 1 100's Psychology 1 200's Religion 2 300's Social Science 3 400's Language 4 500's Science 5 600's Technology 6 700's Arts & Recreation 7 800's Literature 8 900's History, Geography, & Biography 9

You will notice the 000's have been moved to 1, as the concept of zero is somewhat confusing to the younger mind.

As far as returning books, don't sweat it. Nobody will REALLY hold you to any sort of responcibility. Heh, it's not YOUR fault, is it?

This is the third in a series of book cover reminders. The first featured Homer Simpson say "Cover your books, duh!". The second had Mr. T imploring students to "Don't be a fool, cover your books".
