Hummingbirds
I took the kids the zoo a lot when they were little when I was given a gift membership. We would wander all around, seeing the lions, tigers, and bears. Once of my favorite parts was the Children's Zoo. The petting area was fun, and seeing the baby animals was really neat too. Near the Children's Zoo is the hummingbird exhibit. It's really neat because you can walk right into the cage and hummingbirds are flying all around you.
Once time there were so many people wanting to see the hummingbirds that there was a line going through the cage. We were slowly passing through the cage when I felt something tugging at my hair. I thought it was someone bumping my head, or one of the kids playing a trick, so I ignored it. Then someone said, "Look at that, look at his head, there's a hummingbird!". The hummingbird was trying to pull hair out of my head, presumebly to make a nest. The bird kept trying, for several minutes, and people were watching and taking pictures. I could sort of see it sometimes out of the corner of my vision, and of course I could feel it pulling at my hair. The bird finally gave up and the line moved on.
That was a Most Magical Moment that I remember.
